Incluhair is a modern, inclusive, community-focused barbershop located in the heart of Sutton. We operate four contemporary stations and provide a high-quality grooming experience to clients of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and hair types. Our services include:

• Traditional and contemporary men’s haircuts
• Hot towel shaves and beard grooming
• Braiding and protective styling
• A newly launched Mobile Barbering Service providing on-site grooming for male residents in local care homes
  

Our mission is to ensure grooming services are accessible, person-centred, and delivered with dignity and respect—particularly for clients who may face mobility, health, or social barriers to visiting a high street shop.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Barber to deliver professional male grooming services across care homes within Sutton. The successful candidate will uphold the high standards of Incluhair while working independently in a mobile capacity, ensuring each client receives a safe, respectful, and culturally aware
service.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working autonomously, is confident travelling between sites, and is passionate about supporting older male residents—many of whom value regular grooming for social wellbeing, confidence, and personal dignity.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering Grooming Services

• Provide high-quality haircuts, skin fades, tapers, beard trims, shaves, line-ups, and male grooming services.
• Work confidently with all male hair types
• Conduct individual consultations to understand client preferences, cultural considerations, and any mobility or health needs

Working in Care Home Environments

• Provide a calm, considerate, person-centred service for male residents, including those with dementia, additional needs, or reduced mobility.
• Collaborate professionally with care home staff, wellbeing teams, and family members where appropriate.
• Maintain awareness of safeguarding principles and client dignity at all times.
• Adapt services where required (e.g., working bedside, allowing additional time for vulnerable clients).

Equipment Management & Hygiene

• Ensure all tools, clippers, blades, and equipment are fully sanitised between clients in accordance with industry hygiene standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised mobile kit suitable for care home environments.
• Follow all health and safety protocols, particularly around infection control.
  

Scheduling & Administration

• Manage travel routes and timings between appointments efficiently.
• Assist with basic administrative tasks such as confirming bookings, collecting payments, and reporting completed visits.
• Represent Incluhair to a high standard as a mobile ambassador for the brand.

Essential Requirements

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Barbering or Hairdressing.
• Professional experience in barbering, ideally including mobile or community-based work.
• Confident working with all male hair types and modern barbering techniques.
• Valid UK driving licence with access to a reliable vehicle.
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends or early evenings.
• Enhanced DBS check (required for care home and home visit services) completed by Incluhair.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working in care homes, community settings, or with older adults.
• Confidence with afro-textured hair, fades, and modern styling techniques.
• Training in dementia awareness or safeguarding (not essential, training can be provided).
• Ability to upsell or recommend hair and beard care products appropriately.
